MAn falls from side of mall
In the early morning, a window cleaner suddenly fell from the stand he was on. One of the supporting ropes gave way and the stand fell 1 story along with the cleaner. Numerous calls flooded in to 911. LCPD was the first on scene and began to move people out frond under the stand in case it fell. Battalion 1, Truck 81, and Rescue Squad 3 were all called on scene. Upon arival, Truck 81 set the ladder up to the stand to hold it in case it fell. Rescue Squad 3 set up a small ladder as a second option for the victim to climb on. 2 members from Squad 3 also set up the ropes and harnesses from the roof and repelled down the building. One down the building, they were able to secure the victim and get him safely onto Truck 81's bucket.
Trash can fire on main street
911 recieved a call that a trash an outside the hotel on Main Street had smoke coming from it. K-9 Police were the first on scene to moved the crowd back. Battalion 1 and Engine 51 arrived on scene shortly after the K-9 Unit made sure no explosives were found. The fire was extinguished by Engine 51 with no damage to the surrounding people or structures.
car accident puts 2 in critical condition
Around 9:00 PM, dispach recieved a call that 2 cars had crashed head on while traveling on beach road. LCPD arrived on scene and immediatly shut down both lanes of the road. The driver of the car traveling South had managed to get himself out of the car and away from the wreck. The car heading North had rolled on its side and the driver laid unconcious on scene. Battalion 1, Engine 51, Ambulace 61 and Squad 3 all arrived on scene and began to help the victims. The driver of the first car was taken ot the hospital as LCFD began to free the trapped man from his rolled over vechicle.
Robber Shot by homeowner
In the middle of the night, a robber tried to break into a town home on Main Street. The homeowner woke up to the break in and quickly called 911. Dispach told the man to do whatever he needed to do to keep his family safe. When the robber broke in, the homeowner shot him in the leg. Muliple Lego Creek Police Units responded to the call. Ambulance 61 was called on scene to make sure the robber was taken care of. He has since healed and is being held at the Lego Creek Police Station.
Hotel burns on main street
Around 5:30 P.M. the hotel on Main Steet caught fire on the top floor. Truck 81, Squad 3, Engine 51, Battalion 1, Ambulance 61 and Ladder 3 responded to the 3 Alarm call. 3 victims were trapped inside and all were rescued with minor injuries and burns.
